Role Description

This full-time, on-site Sales Design Consultant role is based in the Charlotte Metropolitan Area. The Sales Design Consultant will welcome and guide clients through the showroom, learning their needs and design vision while presenting appropriate tile, bath, and related product solutions. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing design concepts, preparing proposals and quotes, managing sales from initial contact through closing, and coordinating with internal teams to ensure accurate ordering and delivery. The role involves providing exceptional client service, educating clients on product features and installation considerations, maintaining showroom standards, and supporting visual merchandising. The Sales Design Consultant will also build and nurture relationships with designers, architects, builders, and homeowners to drive repeat and referral business.

Qualifications

• Strong external marketing mindset with proven Customer Service skills, including listening, communication, and follow-through.
• Demonstrated Sales skills, with experience meeting or exceeding targets and effectively guiding clients through the decision-making process.
• Applied Interior Design skills, with an eye for space planning, color, and material combinations relevant to tile, bath, and surface design.
• Knowledge of Furniture and Furnishings to support cohesive design solutions that integrate surfaces, fixtures, and décor.
• Comfort working in a showroom or retail design environment and engaging with both trade professionals and homeowners.
• Ability to read or interpret basic plans, elevations, and measurements; familiarity with design or drafting software is a plus.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for managing quotes, orders, samples, and project timelines.
• Collaborative approach, with the ability to work closely with colleagues, vendors, and installers to support successful project outcomes.
• Prior experience in luxury retail, kitchen and bath, tile and stone, or related design fields is highly beneficial.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education in interior design, architecture, or related disciplines is preferred.
