Job summary

Springfield Scheels in Springfield, IL is seeking an energetic sales associate to greet customers, assess needs, and promote Scheels Visa while delivering a personalized WOW experience. You will grow personal sales through friendly engagement, product knowledge, and teamwork on the sales floor.

The position offers hourly pay plus commission, flexible evening and weekend hours, and benefits including an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) and comprehensive health coverage.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1-3 months of sales experience preferred.
• Able to lift up to 100 pounds occasionally, 50 pounds frequently.

Responsibilities

• Greet all customers on the sales floor with courtesy and a smile.
• Deliver exceptional customer service by engaging with customers and promoting Scheels Visa.
• Grow personal sales by meeting set goals and following Scheels' sales standards.
• Create a positive end-user experience based on the products purchased.
• Maintain visual merchandising and support freight processing and inventory restocking.
• Demonstrate product usage and retrieve products from heights of >6 ft.
• Attend Scheels product training and store meetings.
• Assist in training new associates.
• Navigate a PC and handheld scanner; programs include Microsoft Office, Google Mail/Docs, AS400.
• Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.
