About The Job

The Specialty Lime Sales and Business Development Manager is responsible for key commercial and sales activities for the Specialty Calcium Oxide and Hydroxide product lines. This strategic business serves high-margin specialty chemical and food-grade customers.

  • Develop new business opportunities within the specialty markets aligned with the strategy set by the Global Business and Sales Manager.
  • Understand customer end-use markets, provide technical support, manage key accounts, and foster customer relationships at all organizational levels.
  • Manage the approach to the distributor market, including agreements, pricing, and technical support.
  • Monitor market dynamics, competition, and customer trends; provide insights and recommendations.
  • Represent MLC at trade shows, industry conferences, and professional associations.
  • Prepare reports, quotes, analyses, contracts, and other documents as per company policies.
  • Perform other responsibilities as needed.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Science, or Business; MBA preferred.
  • Minimum four years experience in sales, marketing, or engineering, preferably in specialty chemicals or related fields.
  • Valid Driver’s License, TWIC card, and a passport with at least six months before expiration.
  • Fluency or working knowledge of Spanish or other languages is a plus.
  • Strategic, analytical mindset capable of managing high-volume activities and long-term planning.
  • Strong communication skills; proficiency in Excel; familiarity with Power BI is desirable.
  • Willingness to travel 30-60% of the time.
