About the Role

Are you passionate about driving digital transformation and autonomous operations in the mining and mineral processing (MM) industry? Do you thrive in business development and have a knack for introducing cutting-edge technology solutions? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you!

Under the guidance of the Regional Director, the Business Development Manager will drive profitable growth in the MM industry for Digital Solutions (DS) and Automation Services (AS). This role involves identifying new business opportunities, expanding the Company’s geographical reach, developing new Automation & Digitalization capabilities, offerings, and field-based services, and building and maintaining relationships with key corporate MM customers.

Location

Salt Lake City, UT; Denver, CO; Phoenix, AZ; Las Vegas or Reno, NV

Responsibilities
  1. Proactively identify and develop new business opportunities within the Mining & Mineral Processing industry.
  2. Build and enhance relationships with new and existing customers and strategic partners.
  3. Drive sales growth through effective forecasting, planning, and execution of sales strategies.
  4. Collaborate with the Operations team to define, develop, and execute sales growth strategies and marketing campaigns.
  5. Analyze market trends and customer needs to recommend new products and improvements.
  6. Develop and deliver presentations and demonstrations showcasing ANDRITZ’s automation solutions.
  7. Maintain effective communication with stakeholders throughout the business development cycle.
  8. Represent the company at industry events and professional organizations.
  9. Develop and grow the Automation and Digitalization business in Western Canada, with travel across North America.
  10. Prepare and present technical and commercial offers to customers.
  11. Assist in developing marketing materials and campaigns.
  12. Uphold and demonstrate the company’s values and core behaviors.

Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in automation, digitalization, or related fields, preferably in mining.
  • Proven track record in technical sales, forecasting, CRM, and strategic planning.
  • Excellent presentation, relationship-building, and sales skills.
  • Self-motivated, resourceful, and team-oriented.
  • Strategic thinker with entrepreneurial mindset.
  • Strong communication, analytical, and technical writing skills.
  • Willingness to travel (~50%) within North America; valid driver’s license and passport required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Chemical, Metallurgy, Automation, Electrical, or similar).
  • Established network in the mining and mineral processing industry.
