Goodwill of Greater Washington is seeking a store Sales Associate to greet customers, ring up purchases, stock shelves, and maintain a tidy sales floor. You will provide friendly service on the selling floor and over the phone, helping customers with questions and purchases.

Responsabilidades

• Provides professional and courteous service to all customers inside the store, outside of the store, and on the phone.
• Assures merchandise is placed on the sales floor in a timely manner
• Able to ensure items are rung accurately on the register
• Demonstrates accurate cash handling skill including making change and operating the register
• Maintains knowledge of merchandise and answers customer’s questions promptly
• Keeps floor merchandise neat and assists customers with purchase selections
• Maintains clean professional appearance
• Perform housekeeping duties and store upkeep as needed to include sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, wiping shelves, and dusting

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provides professional and courteous service to all customers inside the store, outside of the store, and on the phone.
• Assures merchandise is placed on the sales floor in a timely manner
• Able to ensure items are rung accurately on the register
• Demonstrates accurate cash handling skill to include but is not limited to making change, operate and maintain the cash register, check and charge card machine, and use of a calculator
• Maintains knowledge of merchandise and answers customer’s questions courteously and promptly
• Keeps floor merchandise neat and orderly (racks, shelves, bins, and hangers) and assists customers with purchase selections.
• Maintains clean professional appearance

Other Duties and Responsibilities:

• Maintain an orderly and clean register area
• Maintain familiarity with store security procedures and exercise security practices when necessary
• Perform general housekeeping responsibilities to include: store upkeep duties as needed to include sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, wiping shelves, and dusting (including restrooms and dressing rooms)
• Perform other duties as assigned by management

Preferred Qualifications

• A minimum of six months of previous work experience
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience working in a retail environment
• Excellent customer service related skills
• Working knowledge of a cash register
• Multilingual with complete fluency in English
