Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED; currently in school is acceptable.
• Trade skills plus a customer-focused attitude is a plus, training provided.
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Knowledge of DIY projects, electrical, plumbing, tools, paint and hardware preferred.
• Knowledge of retail computer systems a plus; training available.

Responsibilities

• Puts Customers First, Tasks Second and provides promotions information to customers.
• Execute daily operational goals and priorities set by store management.
• Increase knowledge of products and their uses to assist shoppers.
• Demonstrate merchandising skills and keep displays organized.
• Assist in processing new shipments and maintain clean back room areas.

Job Description - Sales Associate

• Maintain awareness of all promotions and advertisements and provide this information to customers.
• Execute the daily operational goals and priorities assigned by store management.
• Continually work on increasing knowledge of the products we sell and their uses
• Merchandising skills and abilities.
• Participate in the processing of new shipments and help the team to keep the receiving and back room areas clean and organized.

Education/Training:

High School diploma or GED equivalent or currently in school.

Experience:

Trade skills accompanied by a personality that will support our Core Values and mission is a plus but will train.

Skills/Knowledge:

Ability and willingness to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and holidays to meet the needs of the business.

Knowledge of DIY projects, electrical. plumbing, tools , paint and hardware preferred.

Rate of pay: $17.40-17.90/hour Depending on experience**
