Job summary

Rio Vista Ace Hardware is hiring Sales Associates to deliver exceptional customer service and support daily store operations. You will stay informed about promotions, assist customers with product knowledge, and help keep back room areas tidy and organized.

Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays is required, with on‑the‑job training for product lines and POS systems. High school diploma or GED is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED or student status.
• Willingness to learn and train on new products.
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Interest or experience with DIY projects, electrical, plumbing, tools, paint and hardware.
• Knowledge of retail computer systems is a plus; on‑the‑job training provided.

Responsibilities

• Put customers first and communicate promotions and ads.
• Execute daily store goals and priorities from management.
• Increase knowledge of products and their uses to assist customers.
• Support merchandising and keep receiving/back room areas organized.
• Assist with processing new shipments and maintain clean, efficient work areas.

Job Description – Sales Associate

• Puts "Customers First, Tasks Second."
• Maintain awareness of all promotions and advertisements and provide this information to customers.
• Execute the daily operational goals and priorities assigned by store management.
• Continually work on increasing knowledge of the products we sell and their uses
• Merchandising skills and abilities.
• Participate in the processing of new shipments and help the team to keep the receiving and back room areas clean and organized.

Education/Training:

High School diploma or GED equivalent or currently in school.

Experience:

Trade skills accompanied by a personality that will support our Core Values and mission is a plus but will train.

Skills/Knowledge:

Ability and willingness to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and holidays to meet the needs of the business.

Knowledge of DIY projects, electrical. plumbing, tools , paint and hardware preferred.

Knowledge of retail computer systems a plus will train

Rate of pay: $17.40-17.90/hour Depending on experience
