Job summary

Lafayette Ace Hardware is hiring Sales Associates to provide an exceptional customer experience in a fast-paced hardware store environment.

We value a positive, team-driven attitude and a willingness to learn about DIY projects, electrical, plumbing, and hardware. The role requires flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and holidays, with training provided where needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED or currently in school.
• Trade skills with a personality that supports Core Values and mission and that we will train for.
• Willing to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Knowledge of DIY projects, electrical, plumbing, tools, paint and hardware preferred.
• Knowledge of retail computer systems a plus; training provided.

Responsibilities

• Puts "Customers First, Tasks Second."
• Maintain awareness of all promotions and advertisements and provide this information to customers.
• Execute the daily operational goals and priorities assigned by store management.
• Continually work on increasing knowledge of the products we sell and their uses
• Merchandising skills and abilities.
• Participate in the processing of new shipments and help the team keep receiving and back room areas clean and organized.

Rate of pay:

$17.40-17.90/hour Depending on experience
