Job summary

Fourth Floor is seeking a Sales Assistant to support key retail accounts across major department stores, mass merchants, club stores, and off-price retailers. The role emphasizes organized, detail-oriented work in a fast-paced children’s apparel environment, with growth in sales, merchandising, and account management.

You will assist Sales Executives, manage orders end-to-end, and prepare reports and showroom materials.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Fashion Merchandising, or related field.
• Experience in sales support or account management preferred.
• Strong Excel skills for data organization (Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP, SUMIF).
• Excellent attention to detail and organization.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with major retail accounts like Walmart, Kohl’s, Costco, TJX is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support Sales Executives with day-to-day account management and customer needs.
• Track orders from placement through shipment and delivery.
• Maintain sales reports, order summaries, inventory/ATS, account recaps, assortment sheets, SKU lists, and pricing matrices.
• Prepare for line reviews, presentations, meetings, and showroom appointments.
• Manage showroom samples and coordinate sample requests, approvals, and product changes.
• Shop the competitive market and prepare market pricing reports.
• Communicate proactively with customers and internal teams regarding orders, product details, delivery updates, and issues.
• Partner with Production, Merchandising, Design, and Logistics to ensure smooth product execution.
• Analyze sell-in, order trends, and basic performance metrics.
• Support forecasting and replenishment tracking.
• Help ensure retailer requirements for ticketing, labeling, packaging, and routing are met.
• Assist with special projects and account initiatives.

What We’re Looking For

• 1+ years of experience in sales support, merchandising, or account management; apparel experience preferred
• Bachelor’s degree preferred in Business, Fashion Merchandising, or a related field
• Strong Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP, SUMIF, and data organization
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
• Proactive, collaborative, and solutions-oriented mindset
