Job summary

Mungo Homes is hiring a Sales Assistant for our Wilmington, NC market. You will support sales staff by handling customer inquiries, coordinating administrative tasks, and ensuring a smooth home buying experience.

Responsibilities include greeting customers, presenting communities and floor plans, and assisting with events and reporting to management. Weekend availability may be required.

Qualifications

  • Requires Associate's degree or equivalent.
  • 6 months to 1 year related experience and/or training.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Knowledge of real estate tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to inquiries via phone, email, or in person with accurate information.
  • Perform administrative tasks: phones, scheduling, contracts, change orders; keep sales center ready.
  • Be at assigned selling location and prepare model homes before opening; may include weekends/holidays.

Job description

Mungo Homes has a new opening for Sales Assistant in our Wilmington, NC market! This position is responsible for supporting the sales personnel within assigned communities by assisting with customer inquiries, administrative tasks, and ensuring a satisfying home buying experience.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Greet and welcome customers; provide information about the community, available properties, floor plans, pricing, features, etc.
  • Respond to customer inquiries via phone, email, and in-person, providing timely and accurate information.
  • Assist with administrative tasks such as answering phones, scheduling appointments, preparing contracts and change orders, opening/closing the sales center and model homes, and coordinating maintenance of sales center.
  • Be in assigned selling location and ready to greet the first customer when you are scheduled to open. This will require arriving at your assigned model at least 15 minutes before the scheduled opening time to prepare your model and yourself. Weekend and holiday hours may be required.
  • Assist with event planning, set‑up, and clean‑up as needed to maintain community and realtor outreach.
  • Show prospective buyers homes and homesites for sale in assigned communities.
  • Attend sales meetings, training sessions, and industry events to stay informed about market trends, new home developments, and sales techniques.
  • Enter and assign new leads in the marketing database system.
  • Document daily traffic and assist sales team with reports and information summaries to management.
  • Provide timely and consistent follow‑through with customers from initial contact through closing and post‑closing activities.
  • Attend/complete all required company training to include training that is off‑site or out of town.
  • Attend all requested professional industry‑related events (as appropriate) or as requested.
  • Collaborate closely with the sales leaders and marketing team to plan, promote, and facilitate marketing events of various scopes that vary in number of participants that are hosted by the sales team within a given market.

Education and/or Experience

Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two‑year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
