Job summary
SM Systems is seeking an experienced technical sales professional to own sales and support in Guwahati and nearby districts. The role involves finding new accounts, managing enquiries through quotes, tenders, orders and payments, and delivering technical and commercial offers for cable fault location and transformer monitoring solutions.
You will run product demos, site trials and commissioning, train customer engineers, and provide first-level support with escalation to principals.
Qualifications
- BE/BTech Electrical is required.
- 5–6 years in B2B technical sales or hands-on application, commissioning or service work desired.
- Knowledge of cable fault location, transformer monitoring and related test equipment is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Own sales and technical support in Guwahati and nearby districts for utilities, railways, defence units, industrial plants, and EPC/contractor accounts.
- Convert enquiries to quotes, tenders, orders and payments.
- Prepare technical and commercial offers and respond to tenders and RFQs.
- Run demos, site trials and commissioning of cable fault location, testing and monitoring systems.
- Train customer engineers and provide first-level support with escalation to principals.
- Maintain CRM and report pipeline weekly.
