Job summary
SM Systems invites applications for a regional sales role based in Ranchi, India. You will own sales and technical support for utilities, railways, defence, and industry accounts, driving enquiries through to order and payment while offering tailored cable fault location, testing and transformer monitoring solutions.
The candidate should have 5–6 years in B2B technical sales or service in electrical domains, with English and Hindi proficiency, own transport, and willingness to travel regionally
Qualifications
- BE/BTech Electrical or Electrical & Electronics with 5–6 years in B2B technical sales or hands-on application, commissioning or service work.
- Exposure to cables, substations, switchgear, T&D, test/measurement or instrumentation is ideal.
- Comfortable with tender and empanelment processes and field work at live sites.
Responsibilities
- Own sales and technical support in Ranchi and nearby districts.
- Find new accounts and manage enquiries from quote to payment.
- Understand customer requirements and prepare technical and commercial offers; respond to tenders and RFQs.
- Run demos, site trials and commissioning of cable fault location, testing and monitoring systems.
- Train customer engineers and provide first-level support with escalation to principals.
- Report pipeline weekly, keep CRM up-to-date, and write site reports.
