Job summary

Wanzl North America (WNA) seeks a Sales Application Engineer in Newton, NC to refine work scopes for ETO products and act as the product SME for customer solutions. You will collect voice of the customer feedback, lead client presentations, and provide technical support to drive sales and satisfaction.

The SAE will bridge the Sales team with Product Managers and the D&D department, supporting site visits, proposals, and CAD work while traveling up to 35% as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field required.
• Minimum five years of related industry experience preferred.
• Proficient in SolidWorks and AutoCAD or related software packages.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills for customer interactions.
• Ability to capture customer requirements and translate into recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support and guidance to the sales team for product capabilities.
• Support the sales process from lead generation to closing deals.
• Serve as the technical SME during customer interactions, including demos and presentations.
• Develop and present technical proposals aligned with customer needs and company capabilities.
• Facilitate cross-functional communication between Sales, Product Managers, D&D, and Manufacturing.
• Participate in customer meetings, site visits, and pre-install surveys to gather requirements.
• Assist in developing and reviewing technical documentation and product specs.
• Create CAD drawings for proposals, permits, and internal pricing.
• Demonstrate technologies integrated with relevant products.
• Stay updated on market needs, industry trends, and competitor products.
• Attend trade shows and industry events to promote offerings.
• Provide technical training and support to the sales team.
