Position Description

This position is responsible for providing accurate and comprehensive equipment selections, quotations, and application guidance for commercial and industrial HVAC applications based on customer requests and/or mechanical plans and specifications. This role involves collaborating closely with internal teams, external sales representatives, and customers to ensure successful project execution. The position reports to the Sales Manager.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate with external sales representatives and customers to provide direct technical assistance relating to quotations, equipment selections, site-specific applications, special requirements, etc.
• Apply deductive reasoning to ensure appropriate equipment application and offer value-engineered solutions when necessary.
• Oversee and manage projects as they transition from quotations to orders.
• Collaborate with internal engineering disciplines to ensure equipment designs align with quotations and customer expectations.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of HVAC products, industry standards, and competitive market trends.
• Gather and analyze feedback from customers, the factory, and field personnel to identify areas for continuous improvement.
• Support post-sale activities by assisting with issue resolution and maintaining strong customer relationships.

Required Education & Qualifications

• College graduate in engineering or related technical discipline with limited work experience or
• 2-5 years equivalent experience in the specified engineering discipline.
• A basic understanding of commercial and industrial HVAC systems and their applications.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain customer relationships.
• Strong organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office products. Experience with AutoCAD and SolidWorks a plus.
