Overview

The Sales Application Engineer plays a critical role in aligning technical solutions with customer needs, blending engineering expertise with sales acumen to drive business growth. This role involves direct interaction with customers to understand their requirements and providing tailored solutions that align with their goals.

Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Serve as the go-to technical resource for the sales team, answering customer queries regarding product capabilities, performance, and specifications.
  2. Analyze and understand customer power quality needs to propose customized solutions that offer the best technical and cost-effective outcomes.
  3. Maintain in-depth knowledge of our product offerings, including features, benefits, and applications, to recommend the most suitable solutions.
  4. Collaborate with the engineering team to ensure proposed solutions are feasible and align with company capabilities.
  5. Prepare and deliver technical documentation, such as product specifications and user manuals.
  6. Conduct training sessions for customers and the sales team on product features and applications.
  7. Provide ongoing technical support and troubleshooting after the sale to ensure customer satisfaction.
  8. Keep abreast of market trends and competitor products to inform product development and improvement.
  9. Gather and analyze feedback from customers to enhance product offerings.
  10. Work with sales and marketing teams to create effective sales strategies.
  11. Ensure solutions comply with relevant industry standards and regulations.
  12. Stay updated on new technologies and practices related to the company's products.
Qualifications

Qualifications:

  1. Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field OR equivalent work experience in the Sales or Engineering field. Advanced degrees or certifications is a plus.
  2. Experience in contract management, legal analysis, or a related field.
  3. Comprehensive understanding of the company’s products, including technical specifications and applications.
  4. Proficiency in relevant engineering and design software.
  5. At least 3 years of experience in a technical sales or engineering role, with a demonstrated ability to solve customer problems.
  6. Proficiency in technical documentation and proposal writing.
  7. Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts in an understandable manner.
  8. Excellent problem-solving skills and creativity in developing solutions to meet customer needs.
  9. High level of customer service orientation and the ability to foster long-term customer relationships.
  10. Collaborative mindset, with experience working in cross-functional teams.
  11. Self-motivated with a strong drive to achieve sales and technical objectives.
  12. Adaptable to new technologies and evolving customer requirements.
