Job Summary

The Sales and Service Expert (SSE) delivers an outstanding sales and service experience to all guests and members by offering membership, fitness, and retail products and services. The SSE builds relationships, promotes the value of 24 Hour Fitness offerings, and focuses on behaviors that drive member acquisition and retention. The role involves engaging with guests and members to meet sales revenue goals.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  1. Guest Experience and New Member On-boarding:
    • Executes the CARE sales model, relating how 24 Hour Fitness's products/services meet fitness needs.
    • Tours potential members, describing facilities, equipment, services, and amenities aligned with their goals. Registers all guests digitally.
    • Communicates offers clearly using provided tools.
    • Enrolls guests professionally following sales protocols.
    • Adheres to Membership Agreement Procedures (MAP).
    • On-boards new members and participates in retention activities to enhance profitability.
    • Achieves or exceeds personal and team sales goals.
  2. Prospecting and Lead Generation:
    • Obtains leads through community outreach, promotions, referrals, guest passes, and phone contacts.
    • Sets appointments and manages leads using a Lead Management System.
    • Promotes marketing campaigns to leads and members.
    • Tracks activities with a daily planner.
    • Meets or exceeds productivity goals.
  3. Member Experience:
    • Collaborates with the Sales and Service Manager to provide a member-centric experience.
    • Provides friendly greetings and prompt attention.
    • Engages members with fitness offerings and maintains relationships.
    • Ensures a clean, welcoming environment.
    • Assists new members in acclimating to the club.
Compensation and Organization

Variable compensation through sales commissions, rewarding service and success. Reports to the Sales and Service Manager. No direct reports.

Qualifications
  • Knowledge of sales practices and techniques; understanding of the fitness industry.
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Self-motivated with good organizational skills.
  • Ability to operate POS and Membership System software (knowledge preferred).
  • High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • CPR/AED certification within 60 days of employment.
  • Experience in fitness or retail industry preferred; 1-2 years in service sales preferred.
Physical and Travel Requirements
  • Ability to move around the club, demonstrate fitness activities, and communicate telephonically.
  • Ability to work varied schedules, including weekends and holidays.
  • Minimal travel for training and lead generation.
