California Closets seeks a Sales and Design Consultant for the Gainesville–Ocala area. The role combines design with direct customer sales, delivering personalized, whole-home storage solutions while leveraging our CAD tools and a strong focus on service.

This full-time position starts with a 12-week paid training period at $2k bi-weekly, transitioning to uncapped earnings with bonuses. A comprehensive benefits package accompanies the role, including health insurance and a 401(k) plan.

Qualifications

• Interior design education or equivalent experience preferred.
• Experience in in-home sales or design consultations preferred.
• Strong communication and presentation skills required.

Responsibilities

• Commute to customers' homes and design custom storage solutions using CAD.
• Meet or exceed monthly and annual sales targets via referrals and repeat business.
• Coordinate with installation team to ensure job completion and follow-up with customers.
• Participate in meetings and training sessions.
• Manage a portfolio of projects and clients with varying complexity.

The Design Consultant role is critical to the California Closets Design Brand experience and the relationship earned with each and every customer. By listening to a customer's needs and collaborating on every detail, this role is responsible for delivering highly personalized, whole-home design solutions and exceptional service. Supported by enhanced training, this role requires passion for design, integrity, and commitment to excellence for measuring, designing, selling, and delivering custom solutions that add lifetime value and impact. This is a full-time (40+ hours per week) position.

Territory

*** This position will oversee Gainesville through the Ocala region. ***

Training

• This opportunity comes with a 12-week training period with a salary of $2k bi-weekly.
• The first four weeks of training will require regular showroom hours Monday - Friday 10am-6pm.
• Once training is completed, this position transitions to an uncapped earning structure with no base salary, along with opportunities to earn bonuses.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Commute to customers' homes and design custom storage solutions utilizing our proprietary CAD software program.
• Meet or exceed monthly and annual sales targets by pursuing referrals and repeat business.
• Continuous follow-up with customers and collaboration with the installation team to ensure job completion.
• Participate in meetings and training sessions.
• Manage a portfolio of projects and clients of different complexity in a dynamic environment.
  • Interior design education, direct industry experience, and/or in-home sales experience is preferred.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft 365 and experience working with laptops, tablets, and other electronic devices is required.
  • Previous experience with Salesforce, CAD, or design software is preferred
  • The ability to be creative, yet meticulously detail-oriented with a sense of craftsmanship.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation is required.
