Job summary

California Closets in Minnetonka, MN seeks a Design Consultant to craft personalized, whole-home storage solutions and deliver exceptional service. You will measure, design, sell, and coordinate installations with support from enhanced training.

This is a full-time position offering a dynamic, design-forward environment. The 12-week training includes a $2,000 bi-weekly salary; after training, you’ll transition to an uncapped earning structure with bonuses, while maintaining full-time hours (40+

• Follow-up with customers and coordinate with installation team to ensure completion.
• Manage leads from start to finish using the Facilitative Sales Cycle.
• Assist in meetings and training sessions.

Job Description

The Design Consultant role is critical to the California Closets Design Brand experience and the relationship earned with each and every customer. By listening to a customer’s needs and collaborating on every detail, this role is responsible for delivering highly personalized, whole-home design solutions and exceptional service. Supported by enhanced training, this role requires passion for design, integrity, and commitment to excellence for measuring, designing, selling, and delivering custom solutions that add lifetime value and impact. This is a full-time (40+ hours per week) position.

Training

• 12-week training period with a salary of $2k bi-weekly.


• The first four weeks of training will require regular showroom hours Monday - Friday 10am-6pm.


• Once training is completed, this position transitions to an uncapped earning structure with no base salary, along with opportunities to earn bonuses.

Duties And Responsibilities

• Commute to customers' homes and design custom storage solutions utilizing our proprietary CAD software program.


• Meet or exceed monthly and annual sales targets by pursuing referrals and repeat business.


• Continuous follow-up with customers and collaboration with the installation team to ensure job completion.


• Manage both company and self-generated leads from start to finish, utilizing our internal Facilitative Sales Cycle including:




• Within 24-hour working business hours turnaround time for introductory call.


• Designing on-the-spot during consultations


• Uploading of required documents into CXM (Salesforce) System.




• Manage a portfolio of projects and clients of different complexity in a dynamic environment.


• Participate in meetings and training sessions.

Qualifications

• Interior design education, direct industry experience, and/or in-home sales experience is preferred.


• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft 365 and experience working with laptops, tablets, and other electronic devices is required.


• Previous experience with Salesforce, CAD, or design software is preferred


• The ability to be creative, yet meticulously detail-oriented with a sense of craftsmanship.


• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation is required.
