Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in sales analysis, business analytics, revenue planning, or inventory analysis.
• Expert Excel skills including XLOOKUP, VLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, PivotTables, and VBA/macros.
• Experience with POS, revenue, sales and inventory data analysis and variance analysis.
• Strong project management and ability to handle multiple deadlines remotely.
• Excellent communication and ability to translate data into insights for stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Conduct large-scale data analysis and translate findings into actionable insights.
• Build, maintain, and refresh daily and weekly sales and operational reports.
• Analyze POS, revenue, sales trends, and inventory-related data and variances.
• Maintain dashboards and KPI reporting for internal and external partners.
• Support sales forecasting, revenue projections, and financial reporting.
• Ensure data integrity across multiple systems and sources.
• Automate reporting processes using Excel, Power Query, PivotTables, and VBA.
• Coordinate timelines for new product releases, promotions, and retail programs.
• Collaborate with Finance, Marketing, Operations and other teams.
• Identify opportunities to improve reporting workflows and data accuracy.
• Prepare reporting and presentations for leadership and partners.

Salary: USD35 - USD40 per hour

We are seeking an experienced Sales Analyst for a 3-month remote temporary assignment supporting a consumer-facing business with significant physical product sales and inventory activity. This position will focus heavily on sales reporting, data analysis, forecasting, and operational reporting.

The ideal candidate is highly analytical, extremely proficient in Excel, and comfortable working with large datasets and multiple reporting requirements. Candidates from entertainment, CPG, e-commerce, retail, or other physical-product environments will be considered.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct large-scale data analysis and translate findings into clear, actionable business insights
• Build, maintain, and refresh daily and weekly sales and operational reports
• Analyze POS, revenue, sales trends, inventory-related data, and variance percentages
• Maintain dashboards and KPI reporting for internal stakeholders and external partners
• Support sales forecasting, revenue projections, and related financial reporting
• Maintain data integrity and accuracy across multiple systems and data sources
• Automate and streamline reporting processes using advanced Excel functionality, Power Query, PivotTables, and VBA/macros
• Coordinate timelines and deliverables associated with new product releases, promotions, and retail programs
• Partner cross-functionally with Finance, Marketing, Operations, and other internal teams
• Identify opportunities to improve reporting workflows, data accuracy, and overall efficiency
• Prepare reporting and presentations for leadership and business partners

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in sales analysis, business analytics, revenue planning, inventory analysis, or a related analytical role
• Expert-level Excel skills, including XLOOKUP, VLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, PivotTables, conditional formatting, charts, data validation, filters, Power Query, and VBA/macros
• Experience analyzing POS, revenue, sales, inventory, and variance data
• Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and shifting priorities
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment with minimal oversight
• Strong communication skills and the ability to translate complex data into digestible insights
• Experience within entertainment, CPG, e-commerce, retail, or another physical-product environment preferred
• Experience with Power BI or similar business intelligence tools is a plus
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Data Analytics, or a related field preferred
