Wilbur-Ellis is a 100-year-old, family-owned leader in agriculture seeking a Sales Agronomist II to expand the customer base and strengthen relationships in the assigned territory. You’ll attract new customers, guide product selection based on agronomic needs, and help achieve sales goals.
Travel within the territory is required. You’ll apply herbicide and fertilizer knowledge, build partnerships with growers, and coordinate plans with the team while delivering exceptional service and integrity.

The Sales AgronomistIIwillbe responsible forem... attracting new customers within the sales territory, assistingcustomers with proper product selection and use based on agronomic needs, and maintainingand developing profitable customer relationships.
Manageexisting and attract new customers within the sales territory.
Assistcustomers in selecting and using products based on agronomic needs.
Maintain and develop profitable customer relationships.
Identifynew key customers, understand their businesses, determine their needs, and support the team in achievingsalesgoals andgrowth.
Assistwithterritory budgeting, forecasting,and analysis.
Follow credit policies andmanagerisksfor the company.
Coordinatean annualbusiness plan thatoptimizesgrowth and profitability for theterritory andgainsthemanager’s approval.
Implement marketing and sales plans;meet sales goals;andnetwork with industry representatives to expand sales opportunities.
Betheprimarycustomer contact for deliveries, forecasting, credit, complaint handling, and custom applications, bringing issues to management’s attention.
3+ yearsof experience
Ability to work independently
Willingness to travelthroughout the territory and to periodic sales meetings
Knowledge of herbicides and fertilizers (dry and liquid)
Developing a working knowledge of local agricultural crops and market practices
Proficient with computers,utilizingMicrosoftOfficeand Windows applications
Agronomy/Agribusiness degree
You have strong interpersonal and team-building skills, a positive attitude, and the ability toestablishrelationships with field personnel, peers, and customers
YoudemonstrateexcellentEnglishwritten and oral communication skills
You have a detail and accuracy orientation with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
You’rephysically able to endure outdoor climates, including hot orcold weatherextremes
In compliance with all states and cities requiring transparency of pay, the base compensation for this position ranges from $52,400 - $69,880. Note that salary may vary based on location, skills, and experience.
This position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus and vacation, holidays, health, dental, vision, mental health, and retirement plan participation, including an employer contribution of up to 7% into your 401(k).
