Position Overview

The Sales Account Manager is responsible for selling a full portfolio solution of in-person, digital, and content sponsorships by developing strategic relationships with sponsor accounts to achieve long-term, high-value relationships for our clients.

They will be responsible for achieving and exceeding assigned quotas across a volume of accounts, segmented by channel, as well as providing seamless end-to-end orchestration across events.

Understanding both sponsor and client objectives and business needs, and being proactive in identifying and driving cross-sell/upsell opportunities to meet these needs, ultimately driving revenue growth and retention.

They will provide high-level reporting, accurate regular forecasts, and produce sales proposals. This role will work collaboratively with clients, vendors, and colleagues to provide a seamless, high-quality service and exceptional client experience throughout the sales process and beyond.

Responsibilities
  • Achieve and exceed assigned quotas across a volume of accounts.
  • Maintain accurate and regular sales forecasting and CRM updates.
  • Build strong relationships with sponsors to understand their needs.
  • Guide sponsor go-to-market strategies using events.
  • Manage client communications, sharing sales materials, prospectuses, and outlining sponsorship opportunities and benefits.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to design additional custom, profitable experiences for sponsors.
  • Advocate for the “voice of the sponsor” to influence client and event teams to prioritize sponsor needs, enhancing attendee experience.
  • Lead and manage project teams, providing guidance and support as needed.

Experience Needed
  • Significant experience in Sponsorship Sales as an Account Manager in a similar event agency.
  • Proven forecasting and sales tracking skills.
  • Project management experience at a senior level, managing multiple deadlines and budgets.
  • Experience developing sponsorship packages.
  • Strong financial and business acumen, including contract management.
  • Advanced Excel skills and general ICT competence.
  • Experience generating, qualifying, and closing sales opportunities.
Additional Preferences
  • Quiet home working environment and ability to travel as needed.
  • Home broadband with minimum 25MB download and 2MB upload speeds.
  • Willingness to undertake international travel.

Base salary: $75,000 - $90,000. Compensation depends on location, skills, education, and experience.
