Job description

Join to apply for the Sales Account Executive role at Pace Labs.

This is a remote Sales Account Executive position located in Minnesota, working Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Summary

Responsible for promoting and selling Pace Analytical services within an assigned territory, leveraging relationships, and ensuring customer retention.

Essential Functions
  1. Increase market share through new business growth and expand wallet share of existing customers in the assigned territory.
  2. Visit customer establishments to evaluate needs or promote services as needed.
  3. Maintain customer records using automated systems.
  4. Negotiate prices or terms of sales or service agreements; quote prices, credit terms, or other bid specifications.
  5. Contact new or existing customers to discuss how specific products/services can meet their needs.
  6. Provide guidance and develop recommendations on product/service features based on customer needs and technical knowledge.
  7. Assist with receiving customer feedback and coordinate resources and responses as required.
  8. Interpret and apply department policies, procedures, laws, rules, and regulations, receiving guidance as needed.
  9. Contribute to department efficiency and effectiveness by offering suggestions and participating as an active team member.
  10. Promote and support Pace Analytical's mission by demonstrating courteous and cooperative behavior, fostering a harmonious workplace environment.
Qualifications
Education and Experience

Bachelor's degree in business, chemistry, geology, environmental science, or a related field; AND two years of sales experience.

Required Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations
  • Valid Driver's License
Required Knowledge and Skills
  • Principles and techniques of sales effectiveness.
  • Understanding of sales programs, policies, procedures, laws, and regulations.
  • Methods to resolve sales and customer issues.
  • Knowledge of testing tools, equipment, and processing.
  • Computer applications related to work.
  • Effective communication skills and teamwork.
  • Business English proficiency, including spelling, grammar, and punctuation.

  • Managing projects and working as part of a team or independently.
  • Interpreting applicable laws and regulations.
  • Preparing reports and correspondence.

Physical and Mental Requirements

Mobility for office work, use of standard equipment, ability to sit for extended periods, lift up to 10 pounds, read printed materials and screens, communicate effectively.

Working Environment

Remote work in a secure home office with occasional travel for training or conferences.
