Job summary

WVTM, the NBC affiliate in Birmingham, AL, offers an entry-level Sales Account Associate position with a 9–12 month training program designed to develop candidates into Sales Account Executives. You will learn local television sales under the Local Sales Manager and gain exposure to cross-team collaboration and client communications.

Qualifications

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent social, intrapersonal, and presentation skills.
• Proficient in Excel and complex spreadsheets.
• Ability to manage time-sensitive projects.

Responsibilities

• Assist the development of sales proposals, advertising packages, and client presentations.
• Create supportive marketing materials for the sales department.
• Prepare proposals based on account executive requests.
• Communicate with teams (sales, production, finance) and external clients on performance and delivery of campaigns.
• Enter and maintain all orders including electronic transfer and maintenance of WOCentral orders to WideOrbit.
• Manage sales database.
