Job summary

Scarlet Knife is seeking a Salad Station prep cook to join our restaurant team. You will use high-quality ingredients to prepare meals for patrons, bringing creativity and a commitment to an excellent dining experience. Experience in from-scratch cooking is necessary.

Rate: $21-$23 per hour, part or full time. Responsibilities include plating, recipe adherence, kitchen prep, inventory, and safety compliance as part of daily opening/closing procedures.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a similar role is preferred.
• ServeSafe or Food Handler’s Certification is required.
• Advanced knowledge of culinary techniques and recipes.
• Ability to stay calm and perform under pressure.
• Excellent time management skills.
• Able to stand long hours and lift up to 40 pounds.
• Available weekends, evenings, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Execute plate ups during service and maintain the station in a proficient manner.
• Create dishes according to established recipes.
• Set up the kitchen with necessary tools and equipment.
• Prepare food and present it in an appealing manner.
• Maintain appropriate levels of inventory and restock when necessary.
• Follow all food safety regulations.
• Participate in daily kitchen opening and closing procedures.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the head chef or management.
• Cross train on multiple stations.
