University of Maryland Medical System Corporation seeks a food service worker to prepare cold items and assemble salads and sandwiches for patients and cafeteria service under general supervision. You will review menus, prepare ingredients, and ensure quality and safety in a hospital kitchen.

Responsibilities include maintaining HACCP guidelines, keeping temperature logs, labeling and dating foods, inspecting supplies, and reporting shortages to the supervisor while keeping a clean, safe work

Formación

• One year of general work experience is required.
• Three to six months experience in food service is preferred.
• Ability to read and speak English.

Responsabilidades

• Review menu and assemble supplies for daily salad and cold foods preparation.
• Prepare salad mixes and sandwich spreads according to recipes; assemble sandwiches and other items.
• Report supply shortages to supervisor and evaluate and improve service.
• Inspect food, vegetables, and supplies for quality and compliance.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary work area; ensure equipment functions properly.
• Follow HACCP guidelines and maintain temperature logs for prepared foods and storage.
• Label, date, and handle foods safely per department procedures.
