Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Safety Manager for our Chicago-based commercial construction projects. You will lead on-site safety programs, enforce OSHA standards, and partner with project teams to protect workers.

The role offers growth within a safety-focused general contractor, with a broad project mix and competitive pay. Travel to active sites is expected; OSHA 30 certification required.

Qualifications

• Experience in construction safety management on commercial sites.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and compliance.
• Ability to perform site safety inspections, audits, and incident investigations.
• Lead JHA/JSA development and safety program implementation.
• Conduct toolbox talks and safety training for subs and crews.

Responsibilities

• Lead site safety program across commercial construction projects.
• Conduct safety inspections, audits, and hazard assessments.
• Develop and implement site-specific safety plans and JHA/JSA.
• Investigate incidents and perform root-cause analysis with corrective actions.
• Coordinate with project managers, superintendents, and subcontractors; ensure OSHA compliance.
