Qualifications

• Experience applying Instructional Systems Design (ISD) models and program evaluation methodologies to develop, implement, and modify training materials, curricula, and documentation for instructor-led, online, or blended learning platforms.
• Experience advising internal and external stakeholders on training initiatives, presenting project updates, and collaborating across organizations to resolve curriculum or implementation issues.
• Experience leading the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of multifaceted, multi-modal instructional programs (instructor-led, online, blended) utilizing ISD methodologies and establishing metrics for program evaluation.
• Experience serving as a principal advisor to internal and external partners, negotiating project requirements, and collaborating with diverse stakeholder groups to resolve training or program implementation challenges.
• Experience leading multiple training projects at the same time from start to finish, including setting timelines, assigning tasks to different teams, tracking deadlines, and fixing problems or delays to meet organizational goals.

Responsibilities

• Design professional educational products that adhere to adult learning principles and cover topics such as management systems integration, SMS implementation planning, safety performance criteria, performance-based decision-making, and reporting of safety data or risk indicators.
• Lead and conduct educational improvement initiatives aligned with modern teaching, learning, and evaluation methods, including assessing contexts, developing learning design frameworks, and conducting impact evaluations.
• Assess FTA Safety training courses and catalogs for revisions to align with Safety Program rules, and evaluate offerings for continual improvement.
• Design, develop and implement training materials, curricula, and supporting documentation for instructor-led, online, and blended learning programs (using ISD methods).
• Consult with other FTA program offices and industry SMEs, consolidating feedback to identify gaps in industry safety training needs.
