Job summary

Silgan in Tolleson, AZ, is hiring a Safety and Training Coordinator to support training, safety, and environmental compliance at the facility. You will coordinate programs, conduct audits, investigate incidents, and maintain compliance records while partnering with operations, HR, and facilities.

The role emphasizes developing and delivering trainings, promoting a safe workplace, and contributing to sustainability initiatives. The schedule is Mon–Fri, with benefits starting after 60 days.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in manufacturing and/or workplace safety preferred.
• Ability to design, develop and implement training programs.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Proficient with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team setting.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and monitor employee training and workplace safety programs.
• Coordinate online and in-person training and onboarding of new employees.
• Conduct safety audits and inspections to identify hazards and ensure compliance.
• Track and report safety incidents, lead investigations, and assist corrective actions.
• Maintain injury logs, safety reports, training records and other compliance docs.
• Lead the facility safety committee and promote safety awareness.
• Support environmental compliance programs and sustainability efforts.
