Job summary

Gregory Poole Equipment Company is seeking a Safety Trainer to develop, deliver, and manage comprehensive safety training across locations in North Carolina and neighboring states. You will oversee the GP Academy Mentor Program and align training with regulatory requirements to promote a strong safety culture.

You should have 3–5+ years in safety training, a solid OSHA/MSHA knowledge base, and the ability to deliver hands-on instruction while maintaining accurate training records.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience.
• 3–5+ years of experience in safety training, industrial safety, or related.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA and MSHA regulations.
• Experience delivering technical and hands-on safety training.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and manuals; communicate to groups.
• Proficient PC skills and ability to prepare reports.

Responsibilities

• Develop, deliver, and manage safety training programs aligned with OSHA/MSHA standards.
• Lead the Safety Mentor Program, including mentor training and ongoing management.
• Support NC safety initiatives and industry collaboration; lead curriculum design and delivery.
• Maintain training records, certifications, and compliance documentation; evaluate program effectiveness.
• Travel to company locations in NC, VA, and SC for training delivery.
• Collaborate with leadership to align safety expectations and drive continuous safety improvement.
