Job description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Works with both ILN and non-ILN locations with safety teams to promote environmental safety awareness. Present during operations to observe, coach, report hazards, and follow up on their resolution.
  • Develops, implements, and oversees training programs across locations.
  • Audits LGSTX locations for compliance with safety and training standards.

Supervisory Responsibilities: Directly supervises the LGSTX LMS and safety program implementation at assigned locations.

Qualifications: To perform this role successfully, candidates should meet the following requirements:

  • Associate degree or equivalent, or 3 years of related experience in an industrial setting, or an equivalent combination.
  • Knowledge of safety and environmental practices, LMS familiarity, and a valid driver’s license with no recent DUI convictions.

Preferred Skills: Knowledge of OSHA, NFPA, NIOSH, ANSI, FAR, CFR 40 & 49, and applicable state regulations. Certifications such as DOT Haz Mat and RCRA are preferred.

Additional Skills: Ability to interpret safety documents, write reports, speak effectively, perform basic math, solve practical problems, and use Microsoft Office and LMS software.

Physical Demands: Regular use of hands, standing, walking, sitting, occasional climbing, stooping, and lifting up to 50 pounds. Visual acuity and other sensory requirements are also necessary.

Work Environment: Exposure to outdoor weather, mechanical parts, heights, fumes, electrical hazards, and vibration. Noise level is usually moderate.
