Job summary

Herman Weissker Power, Inc. (HW Power) in California seeks a Safety Supervisor to lead the safety, health and accident prevention program and ensure a safe environment for all employees.

You will administer the safety program, conduct training, review incidents, coordinate with safety committees, and ensure compliance with OSHA/EPA/DOT/NEPA standards for underground construction projects. Reports to Safety Director and supports a dynamic team.

Qualifications

• Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Industrial Hygiene or related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years safety related experience in underground construction.
• OSHA 30 Construction required.
• Valid California driver’s license (Class A or C).
• Knowledge of federal, state, local regulations and industry standards (EPA, DOT, NEPA).

Responsibilities

• Administer safety program; implement and coordinate safety and health activities.
• Conduct safety and certification training; maintain records.
• Monitor training program effectiveness; report on results.
• Review accidents, take corrective action and prevent recurrence.
• Coordinate fleet safety programs and stay current on OSHA standards.
