Job summary

Herman Weissker, Inc. is seeking an experienced Gas Utility Superintendent to lead gas utility construction projects under utility company contracts.

You will supervise field operations, foremen, and project engineers, ensuring safety, quality, and on-time delivery. The role collaborates with Project Managers, Utility Company Representatives, Accounting, and field personnel to maintain production schedules, manage budgets, and support profitable project execution.

Qualifications

• Leadership of field foremen, supervisors, and project engineers on gas utility projects.
• Experience managing budgets, schedules, and manpower.
• Strong knowledge of utility contracts and billing processes.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and direction to field foremen, supervisors, and project engineers on all assigned gas utility construction projects.
• Oversee daily field operations including installation, replacement, relocation, abandonment, and maintenance of gas distribution facilities.
• Coordinate manpower, equipment, subcontractors, and materials to meet production schedules and goals.
• Ensure projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and in compliance with contract requirements.
• Conduct site visits to monitor progress, productivity, quality, and safety performance.
• Review project schedules and develop recovery plans when necessary.
• Serve as the senior technical advisor for gas utility construction activities.
