Job summary

The ideal candidate will have a relevant EH&S degree or equivalent experience, demonstrated leadership, and the ability to guide safety trainings and audits during off‑peak hours.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental, Health and Safety or Occupational Health & Safety, or 3–5 years in safety operations.
• Current enrollment in EH&S degree program preferred.
• Safety professional certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide on‑the‑job training on hazardous communication, safety, ergonomics, and other subjects with associates throughout the facility.
• Educate facility leaders on safety principles and provide leadership, technical advice, and support to initiatives and projects which enhance safe, efficient, high‑quality operations.
• Conduct daily JSA audits and report findings to safety and operations teams along with corrective actions and retraining as needed.
• Assist Safety & Security (S&S) Manager in interviewing associates and gathering information on incidents and near misses and completed root cause analysis.
• Attend and provide safety perspectives for safety meetings, PSM meetings or any other safety‑related meetings that occur.
