Job summary

Entergy is seeking a Student, Intern Safety for Summer 2027 in Willis, Texas. This onsite internship supports Entergy’s safety function, helping to prevent incidents and improve the Safety and Occupational Health Management System while applying academic knowledge to real-world operations.

You will travel to service sites, support day-to-day safety tasks, assist incident investigations, and help develop observation tools and indicators related to compliance.

Qualifications

• General industrial safety and occupational health knowledge.
• Self-starter with strong analytical and communication skills.
• Must be proficient in MS Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to multitask.
• Strong teamwork and interpersonal abilities; can prioritize work.
• Ability to understand scope and objectives of assignments.

Responsibilities

• Provides support for day-to-day safety tasks and initiatives.
• Travel to work sites within Entergy service territories.
• Support development, delivery, and deployment of safety management components.
• Develop and monitor observation tools and indicators for compliance.
• Participate in incident investigations including root cause analysis.
• Assist in incident response activities within the Entergy incident command structure.
• Assist in deployment of contractor safety process requirements and improvements.
