Job summary

Entergy Corporation seeks a Student, Intern Safety for Summer 2027. The role focuses on learning and applying safety principles across Entergy sites, supporting the safety function, and developing systems to prevent incidents.

This onsite internship involves travel to service territories and collaboration with safety professionals to analyze incidents and improve processes within the Safety and Occupational Health Management System.

Qualifications

• Pursuing undergraduate or master’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Industrial Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Public Health or related field with GPA 2.28 or higher.

Responsibilities

• Provides support for day-to-day tasks.
• Travel to work sites within Entergy service territories.
• Support development, delivery, and deployment of assigned management system components.
• Develop and monitor observation tools, indicators and actions related to management system compliance.
• Participate in the incident investigation process including root cause analysis and identification of corrective actions.
• Participate in incident response efforts as a part of the Entergy incident command structure as assigned.
• Participate in deployment of contractor safety process requirements and improvements.
