Job summary

GTI Fabrication is seeking a Safety Specialist to develop and maintain comprehensive safety programs across our production facilities. You will partner with leadership to ensure daily operations meet federal, state, and industry safety standards.

Three to six years of related experience is preferred, with strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. A focus on safety, accuracy in documentation, and proactive hazard mitigation will help drive our safety culture.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Strong organizational and analytical abilities.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office suite.
• Ability to manage priorities and responsibilities with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Develops and maintains safety programs and procedures.
• Conducts inspections to identify unsafe conditions and practices.
• Investigates accidents and recommends corrective actions.
• Enforces site safety policies and compliance with OSHA regulations.
• Maintains knowledge of federal/state safety regulations and updates.
• Plans quarterly training for employees and supervisors.
• Conducts new employee safety training and orientations.
• Documents safety meetings and reports to management.
• Facilitates Return to Work programs with appropriate staff.
