Job summary

GTI Fabrication is seeking a hands-on Safety Manager to lead Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) programs across our Buffalo plant. You will build, implement, and sustain safety systems that support rapid production ramps while maintaining a culture of accountability.

Reporting to operations and working with engineering, quality, HR, and leadership, you will drive OSHA compliance, incident prevention, and continuous improvement. The role requires strong floor presence and strategic leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health & Safety or related field.
• 5–10+ years of experience in EHS or related roles.
• Experience in manufacturing/fabrication environments.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and industrial safety practices.
• Proven ability to lead safety program initiatives on a production floor.

Responsibilities

• Build and implement site-level Environmental Health & Safety programs aligned with OSHA and company standards.
• Develop policies, procedures, work instructions, and safety protocols for all manufacturing operations.
• Establish scalable safety systems to support plant growth and workforce expansion.
• Lead safety culture through leadership engagement, training, and daily reinforcement.
• Conduct safety audits, JHAs, and incident investigations.
• Coordinate with Operations to integrate safety into production planning and execution.
• Prepare for internal audits and regulatory inspections.
• Track KPIs like TRIR and incident trends for leadership.
