Job summary

JE Dunn Construction seeks a Safety Specialist 2 to coordinate field safety programs on routine to complex construction projects. You will conduct site inspections, document hazardous conditions, and prepare reports under the safety strategy and company policies.

Responsibilities include safety audits, abatement documentation, new hire orientation, and collaboration with project leadership to improve safety practices and outcomes across sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in safety and health or BSCP certification required.
• 2+ years construction safety experience required.
• Knowledge of federal, state and local safety regulations expected.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and implements field safety program for routine construction projects.
• Conducts regular walk-through inspections and safety audits on projects.
• Documents abatement of hazardous conditions and tracks progress in safety systems.
• Oversees new hire orientation and drug/alcohol policy compliance.
• Supports prime contractors and subcontractors’ safety programs and meetings.
