If you are an experienced safety professional eager to make an impact, consider joining our team! As a Safety Specialist II, you'll handle technical work across HSE disciplines, engaging stakeholders, reducing risks, and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. Your role involves developing, implementing, and addressing safety concerns, both individually and in teams.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Demonstrate high-level technical competency in aviation safety, mishap prevention, and accident investigation.
  2. Oversee aviation and ground safety, occupational health, and environmental compliance.
  3. Plan, implement, and coordinate safety and environmental programs per regulations and policies.
  4. Identify hazards and promote risk reduction to prevent accidents and injuries.
  5. Maintain hazardous material and waste compliance.
  6. Conduct safety audits, fire extinguisher inspections, and safety equipment inspections.
  7. Provide safety training to work leaders and employees on various safety topics.
  8. Assist in root cause analysis to support corrective actions.
Qualifications You Must Have
  • Bachelor's degree in Safety Engineering, Industrial Hygiene, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • At least 2 years of safety experience in aerospace, military, aviation, or industry.
  • Knowledge of occupational health & safety standards, EPA, OSHA, and NFPA regulations.
  • Ability to conduct hazard analyses, site audits, and root cause investigations.
  • Proficiency in data analysis, spreadsheets, and presentations.
  • Reliable transportation and ability to pass physical exams including hearing and vision tests.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance.
Qualifications We Prefer
  • Experience with DCMA INST 8210.
  • Background in aerospace and defense industry.
  • Certifications like ASP or OHST.
