Job summary

Sysco is seeking an OpCo-based HSE professional to assist with implementation of prevention-focused health, safety and environmental and security programs. This role will support site-specific project deployment and training to align with Sysco's HSE objectives, including crisis preparedness.

Responsibilities include conducting new hire safety orientation, maintaining training records, inspecting facilities, participating in incident investigations, root cause analysis, coaching high-risk

Qualifications

• Associate's degree and/or at least 2 years of safety experience with OSHA certifications.
• 2+ years of hands-on safety experience in warehousing, manufacturing or transportation operations.
• Has attained or is working toward certification as a recognized safety professional; valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Complete new hire orientation training programs as assigned by the Safety Director.
• Maintain records for safety programs (training logs, reports, inspections).
• Inspect facilities to detect unsafe conditions and identify improvements.
• Participate in investigations of accidents and injuries; assist root cause analysis.
• Coach high-risk associates and promote a zero-incident safety culture.
