Select Custom Solutions in La Crosse, WI is seeking a Safety Specialist to support site safety programs, training, and regulatory compliance. You’ll work with the Safety Manager to drive a culture of safety and continuous improvement through audits, training, and incident investigations.

The role emphasizes OSHA/DOT compliance, incident root-cause analysis, and ongoing safety program development in a dairy manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Safety and Health or related field required.
• Minimum two years of safety/health experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of OSHA, NFPA, ANSI and local safety regulations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide training and coaching on safety standards and awareness.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, DOT, and local regulations.
• Maintain and audit safety training records and site programs.
• Investigate incidents/near-misses and conduct root-cause analysis.
• Assist with Worker’s Compensation claims and back-to-work plans.
• Routinely inspect plant areas and PPE inventory; implement corrective actions.
