Job summary

Lakeside Foods invites applications for a Safety Manager in Random Lake, WI. This role leads our safety program, ensuring OSHA compliance, incident analysis, training, and corrective actions to promote a safe work environment.

You’ll organize safety training, manage PPE, maintain SMS and OSHA logs, and participate in audits. A Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of safety leadership experience plus OSHA certifications is required and we offer comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a related field and 5 years of experience implementing safety programs or leading safety programs.
• Familiarity with OSHA regulations and state worker’s compensation laws.
• OSHA 10/30, First Aid/CPR certifications are a plus.
• Strong commitment to safety excellence and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Maintain compliance with Federal, State and local safety regulations (OSHA and workers’ comp).
• Lead incident analysis and manage open claims closure.
• Conduct plant inspections and address unsafe conditions.
• Organize required safety trainings and participate in new hire orientations.
• Budget, purchase and maintain PPE.
• Build and maintain the location’s Safety Management System (SMS).
• Maintain OSHA 300 log, annual reports and SARA title III report.
• Update monthly safety numbers and corrective action plans.
• Perform safety observations and daily surveillance checks.
• Be on-floor safety presence and participate in audits and inspections.
• Maintain emergency action plan and related safety documents.
