Job summary

OX Services, LLC seeks a Safety Specialist to perform onsite construction safety on a Data Center project in Manchester, OH. You will serve as the owner’s representative for safety, ensure OSHA 1926 compliance, and lead on-site safety briefings and audits.

Requirements include 7+ years experience in construction safety, OSHA 510, and a collegiate degree in EHS or equivalent. The role is a 1099 contract (~$45–$50/hr) with 40 hours/week, in-person in Manchester.

About the role:

• Serve as an owner’s representative for safety
• Duties as required by 1926 OSHA Standards for Construction
• Ensure compliance for the safety of site workers and general public

Education/Qualifications/Skills:

• Fluent in English, written and verbal
• OSHA 510
• BCSP Board Certified preferred
• Demolition Experience Required
• Collegiate Degree in Environmental, Health and Safety or equivalent preferred
• Ability to teach and train others on safety programs (required)
• Ability to identify known potential exposures and recommending corrective action
• Ability to read and understand drawings and specifications
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
• Technological competency
• 7 plus years of construction safety experience
• 2-4 years of high voltage experience
• NFPA 70E
• Competency in ISO 45001
• Certification (CHST/CSP) is strongly preferred

What we offer:

The current project will be a 12 month duration with a potential to extend. The schedule will vary, however, the expectation for the position is a minimum of 40 hours weekly as required by client. This is a 1099 contract no per diem ; depending on experience, and ranges from $45-50 per hour. You must reside in the area and able to commute successfully for day-to-day operation. The schedule is M-F; however, flexibility is a must.
