OX Services, LLC is seeking a Safety Specialist to perform onsite construction safety duties on a Data Center project in Ridgeville, SC. The role requires serving as the owner’s safety representative, performing daily inspections, and ensuring compliance with OSHA standards for construction.

The ideal candidate will have 7+ years of construction safety experience, high voltage exposure, NFPA 70E, and ISO 45001 competency, with CHST/CSP preferred.

Qualifications

The Safety Specialist will perform onsite construction safety related duties on a Data Center project in Ridgeville, SC.

** Responsibilities:**

• Serve as an owner’s representative for safety
• Duties as required by 1926 OSHA Standards for Construction
• Ensure compliance for the safety of site workers and general public
• Develop safety kick-off presentations and conduct on-site orientations and pre-shift meetings
• Conduct daily site safety inspections, safety assessments and safety audits
• Investigate incidents and complete associated paperwork
• Conduct risk assessments
• Make recommendations concerning the modification, improvement, or removal of any company equipment, facilities, or machinery that is hazardous to employee safety or health
• Compile daily, weekly, and monthly reports as requested by management or customer
• Maintain all safety related documentation

** Education/Qualifications/Skills:**

• Fluent in English, written and verbal
• OSHA 510
• BCSP Board Certified preferred
• Collegiate Degree in Environmental, Health and Safety or equivalent preferred
• Ability to teach and train others on safety programs (required)
• Ability to identify known potential exposures and recommending corrective action
• Ability to read and understand drawings and specifications
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
• Technological competency
• 7 plus years of construction safety experience
• 2-4 years of high voltage experience
• NFPA 70E
• Competency in ISO 45001
• Certification (CHST/CSP) is strongly preferred

** What we offer:**

The current project will be a 12 month duration with a potential to extend. The schedule will vary, however, the expectation for the position is a minimum of 40 hours weekly as required by client. This is a 1099 contract no per diem ; depending on experience, and ranges from $45-50 per hour. You must reside in the area and able to commute successfully for day-to-day operation. The schedule is M-F; however, flexibility is a must.
