Your Impact

We are seeking a dedicated Safety Specialist to manage full-time, onsite construction safety protocols for datacenter developments nationwide. Candidates must bring prior safety expertise to the table. While current urgent openings are in specific regions, our project portfolio is expanding rapidly, creating ongoing opportunities across the country.

Core Responsibilities

• Act as the primary safety representative for the owner.
• Execute all tasks mandated by OSHA 1926 Construction Standards.
• Help maintain a safe working environment for the entire team and the surrounding community.
• Create safety kick-off materials and lead on-site orientations along with daily pre-shift briefings.
• Perform routine site safety evaluations, assessments, and comprehensive audits.
• Manage incident investigations and finalize all necessary documentation.
• Facilitate thorough risk assessments.
• Provide expert guidance on upgrading or removing hazardous equipment and facilities to improve overall health and safety outcomes.
• Generate and submit regular daily, weekly, and monthly reports for management and client review.
• Act as the primary point of contact for insurance providers, OSHA, local municipalities, and other regulatory bodies.
• Keep all safety-related records organized and up to date.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Strong command of written and spoken English.
• Possession of an OSHA 30-Hour Construction certification.
• Minimum of 5 to 7 years of professional safety experience.
• Active BCSP certification.
• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental, Health, and Safety or a related field.
• Proven ability to instruct and mentor staff on safety protocols.
• Demonstrate the ability to spot potential hazards and suggest effective corrective measures.
• Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings and project specifications.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
• Strong overall technical aptitude.
• Availability for an immediate start.
• Minimum of 7 years in construction safety, with a preference for high-voltage electrical safety experience, or 5 years if holding an EHS degree; must be tech-savvy, physically capable of navigating construction sites including climbing ladders, possess excellent communication skills, and demonstrate proficiency in ISO 45001 and risk classification.

Compensation and Project Details

This is a project-based role with the potential for full-time engagement. The initial project is slated for 6 months with a 40-hour weekly commitment, though schedules may fluctuate. This is a 1099 contract position offering $50-55 per hour with no overtime pay, plus a $500 weekly stipend for those residing beyond a 75-mile radius. Applicants must be able to commute daily for operations, Monday through Friday.
