Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a Safety Specialist to support safety initiatives at large-scale data center construction sites in Ohio. The role focuses on maintaining a safe work environment for employees, contractors, and subcontractors while ensuring compliance with OSHA, DOT, and company standards.

Responsibilities

• Promote and maintain a safe work environment for employees and subcontractors.
• Conduct job site inspections, audits, and safety assessments.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, DOT, client, and company safety requirements.
• Investigate incidents, near misses, and safety concerns while identifying corrective actions.
• Deliver safety training, coaching, and toolbox talks to project personnel.
• Maintain accurate safety documentation and reporting.
• Partner with project leadership to proactively identify and mitigate workplace hazards.

Job description

Location: Two weeks of paid training in Columbus, OH, followed by assignment to a data center project site in Lima, Sidney, or Portsmouth, OH

Employment Type: Permanent / Direct Hire

Compensation: $70,000 - $90,000 annually, based on experience

Additional Compensation & Benefits

In addition to base salary, employees are eligible for:

Position Overview

Our client is seeking a Safety Specialist to support safety initiatives at large-scale data center construction sites. This individual will play a critical role in maintaining a safe work environment for employees, contractors, and subcontractors while ensuring compliance with OSHA, DOT, and company safety standards.

The Safety Specialist will work closely with project teams to identify hazards, promote safe work practices, conduct safety inspections, and help foster a strong culture of workplace safety.

Required Qualifications

• 2-5 years of experience in a construction or industrial safety role
• High School Diploma or GED
• CHST (Construction Health & Safety Technician) certification

Preferred Qualifications

• OSHA 500 and/or OSHA 510 certification
• Previous experience supporting data center construction projects
• Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and industry safety best practices
