Job summary

P1 Construction, LLC is hiring a Safety Specialist in Lenexa, Kansas to lead safety training, site orientations, and audits. You will work with contractor teams to maintain high safety standards on active sites and monitor daily safety operations.

Ideal candidates have at least 1 year in a safety role, a high school diploma or GED, and the ability to pass background and drug screenings as well as vehicle checks. CHST is appreciated but not required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 1 year of full-time safety experience.
• CHST certification preferred but not required.
• Ability to pass background, drug screen and MVR checks.
• Must be at least 18 years old with a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities and Duties

This position will be responsible for safety training, orientations, safety jobsite audits, contractor meetings, and day to day oversight of construction safety operations.

Position Qualifications and Skills

• Must have a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Must have at least 1 year of work experience in a full-time safety role.
• Previous construction industry experience is preferred but not required.
• CHST (Construction Health and Safety Technician) Certification is preferred but not required.
• Must be able to satisfactorily pass a criminal background check and drug screen.
• Must be able to satisfactorily pass a motor vehicle record check. Must be able to meet P1 qualifications to operate a vehicle on company business. Must be at least 18 years of age. Must possess a valid driver’s license. Must have access to drive a well maintained vehicle. Must have up to date registration with the local Department of Motor Vehicles. Both the candidate and the vehicle must be currently covered on a personal insurance policy.
