Job summary

A nationwide construction company is seeking a Site Safety Manager for a large jobsite in Kansas City, MO. The role requires oversight of safety operations, conducting training and audits, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. Candidates must have an Associate's Degree in a safety discipline or OSHA 500 certification along with robust experience in construction safety. Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of work experience in a full-time construction safety role with an Associate's Degree.
• 10 years of work experience in a full-time construction safety role with OSHA 500 certification.
• Must pass a criminal background check and drug screen.
• Must be able to satisfactorily pass a criminal background check and drug screen.
• Must be able to satisfactorily pass a motor vehicle record check. Must be able to meet P1 qualifications to operate a vehicle on company business. Must be at least 18 years of age. Must possess a valid driver’s license. Must have access to drive a well maintained vehicle. Must have up to date registration with the local Department of Motor Vehicles. Both the candidate and the vehicle must be currently covered on a personal insurance policy.
• Must have a high school diploma or GED equivalent.

Job Summary:

• This position will be responsible for safety training, orientations, safety jobsite audits, contractor meetings and day to day oversight of construction safety operations and other safety professionals.
• Must be available to routinely work overtime. Must have scheduling flexibility. Must be available to start work at 7:00 am Monday - Saturday.

Qualifications and Skills

• Education/Experience: Meets one of the following requirements:
  • Must have a minimum of an Associate's Degree in a Safety related discipline and at least 5 years of work experience in a full-time construction safety role OR
  • Must have OSHA 500 and at least 10 years of work experience in a full-time construction safety role.
• CHST Certification is preferred but not required.
• Must be able to satisfactorily pass a criminal background check and drug screen.
• Must be able to satisfactorily pass a motor vehicle record check. Must be able to meet P1 qualifications to operate a vehicle on company business. Must be at least 18 years of age. Must possess a valid driver’s license. Must have access to drive a well maintained vehicle. Must have up to date registration with the local Department of Motor Vehicles.
