Job summary

Fort Worth ISD seeks a Manager - Safety & Security to lead district safety functions, including the Emergency Command Center, K-9 operations, and metal detector programs. You will coordinate with regional leaders and law enforcement to ensure rapid, effective responses to incidents.

The role requires strategic leadership, program oversight, and strong collaboration across departments to maintain high safety standards and compliant operations district-wide.

Responsibilities

• Provides leadership and oversight of the Emergency Command Center operations.
• Monitors security systems, cameras, alarms, access control, and other safety tech.
• Establishes procedures for incident intake, prioritization, escalation, and communication.
• Coordinates with safety leadership during emergencies and major events.
• Maintains incident logs, notifications, and records for compliance.
• Oversees K-9 program, training, certifications, and deployment readiness.
• Coordinates with campuses and regional leaders on planned and emergency operations.
• Ensures standardized screening procedures and staff training across campuses.
