Job summary

Qualifications

• Education: Accredited High School diploma, GED, or Texas Certificate of High School Equivalency required
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university preferred
• Certification/License: Valid Texas driver's license; CPR/AED and first-aid certification; TCOLE certification preferred
• Experience: 5-9 years in public education, law enforcement, emergency management, or related field; supervisory or team leadership preferred

Responsibilities

• Directs the overall safety and security program for an assigned region, including all campuses and District facilities within the region
• Supervises Regional Safety Managers, including interviewing and hiring recommendations, assignment of areas, coaching, performance evaluation, and corrective action
• Establishes regional staffing plans and coverage standards; approves allocation of Campus Monitors, School Resource Officers, and security personnel
• Ensures consistent application of safety procedures and reporting requirements across the region
• Oversees annual review and updates of campus emergency operations plans and drills
